Do you need food, clothing, shelter, or financial assistance?
Contact the Parish Office at (734) 981-1333 and ask to leave a message for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. A Vincentian will get back to you very quickly to determine the best way to meet your needs. In addition to providing food, clothing, and other assistance, Vincentians can direct people to a network of community resources that may assist them. Also check out our Community Assistance page for more community resources.
How can you support the work of St. Vincent de Paul?
- Top Hats: After each Mass, you will notice Vincentians holding top hats in the Gathering Space. The money placed into these top hats is used to fund the work of the Vincentians. In addition to supporting parishioners in need, the Vincentians support our regional food bank at St. Mary's Outreach Center in Wayne and regularly support the Vincentians at Corpus Christi parish in Detroit.
- SVDP Clothing Drop Box: St. Vincent de Paul has a brand new, bright blue box where you can drop-off used clothing and shoes. The box is in the corner of the South parking lot. This will give you an opportunity to bring things, at your convenience, and drop them into this box. The box will be emptied on a regular basis by SVDP and the contents will be used to help others.
- Little Red Wagons: In the Gathering Space, we have two little red wagons. Please leave non-perishable food, paper products, soap or personal care products. We use these to prepare emergency food packets for people in need in our community and deliver the extra collected to the St. Mary's food bank.
- Join us! We meet at 7:00 PM on the first Thursday of the month. All are welcome. Learn more about the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
