St. Thomas a'Becket offers two ways for your child to complete his/her faith formation studies. Our traditional method is classroom based instruction. The other method is the Family Home Study Program. You, the parent or guardian, are the teacher. Your child will complete one Gospel Weekly packet each week. This is a flexible option because you choose the day of the week and time that you will do your faith formation studies with your child. It is also a wonderful way for the family to learn together and grow more in faith.
Requirements for families involved in Family Home Study:
Tuition:
Payment is due at the time of registration for the current year. If you have any unpaid tuition balances, please take care of your payment before you register for the next year. If a family is unable to pay, we do offer installment plans. Please speak to our office to set up a plan. We do not want your children to miss out on Faith Formation classes due to money matters!
All absences should be called in to the FF office at (734) 981-6680. Attendance is taken each class day and excused (called in) absences are reported to the teacher. We ask you to report the first and last name of the student, day and class they will miss, and the reason for the absence. Please leave a voice mail message if we do not answer.
Late arrivals should be brought to the Faith Formation office and will be escorted to their room by Faith Formation office staff. No visitors are allowed in the hallways during class time, in accordance with the policies outlined in our Safe Environments guidelines.
If your child needs to leave early, you must come to the FF office to pick up your child. An office staff member will bring your child to the office. You will be asked to fill out an Early Dismissal Form confirming that you are taking your child early.
If Plymouth-Canton Community Schools are closed due to inclement weather or illness outbreak, there will be no Faith Formation classes that day.
In the rare event that an unforeseen event causes us to cancel class, we will notify parents via email, so please be sure we have your current email address.
