“The Seven Intentions of Mourning” Grief Support Series
There are no stages to grief. We all experience loss in our own unique way, and healing is an intentional process, where we gather as a community of faith to become disciples of hope.
It is through prayerful reflection, practical learning, and personal fellowship that we mourn. At St. Thomas a’Becket we are offering a seven-week series from ‘Good Mourning Ministry,’ a Catholic Bereavement Apostolate, who has created this video series.
“The 7 Intentions of Mourning” is a guided video series for grief support that gently walks people on a path where healing begins, hope is renewed, and love endures. Each of the seven sessions includes prayer, hospitality, a video and small group discussion. Each video presents one of the intentions of mourning at each session: Prayer, Remembering and Honoring, Accepting, Yielding to the Pain, Enduring Connections, Rebuilding, and Seeking and Giving Support.
These sessions will take place from Friday, March 21st, through Friday, May 9th. (No session on April 18th - Good Friday). The sessions will start at about 9:45 AM. You are invited to attend daily Mass at 9 AM, and the sessions will follow in our Classrooms 10-14, ending at 11:30 AM.
