Because New Year's Day is on a Friday this year, it is a holy day. We celebrate the Solemnity of Mary - Mother of God, and the beginning of the New Year. It is a very important celebration in honor of our Lady and we will celebrate one Mass on New Year's Eve at 5 PM (Thursday, Dec. 31) and one Mass on New Year's Day (Friday, Jan 1) at 10 AM.
What a great way to start the new year - by participating at Mass and reflecting on Mary as the Mother of God and the Mother of the Church. Again, we will have one of these Masses recorded for those of you at home
