Its has been a crazy year, but there is hope! All Men of the parish are cordially invited to attend our annual St. Thomas a’Becket Men’s Retreat at the St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center on the weekend of September 25-27.
The retreat is extremely relaxing, spiritually refreshing and a great chance to meet other men of the parish and other parishes for fellowship. This year’s retreat theme is “I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say…..” Even thought we may not have all the answers we would like to have, our faith tells us that God has the answer for our future and, through His mercy, forgives us for our past. There is a very good chance that you will come away refreshed and have a renewed passion for your family, friends, coworkers and life in general.
All are very welcome, especially if you have not attended in the past! This year will be limited in number, and the Retreat Center is taking every precaution to sanitize and socially distance. What a great way to recharge after this pandemic lock down. You just might come away with an answer to a current prayer, a better balance of your priorities, or even a whole new positive attitude on life. Or maybe you could just use a little peace and quiet R&R in a wonderful facility with private rooms, showers, and beautiful landscaped grounds.
The retreat cost is based on donation only with a suggested amount way below market price for two nights in a hotel and incudes three square meals a day. The retreat starts at dinner Friday night and runs to about noon on Sunday. Call Dennis O’Beirne at (734) 233-3336 or Manny Colon at (734) 812-1402 if you are interested in this wonderful opportunity.
