The Paschal Triduum is the heart of our liturgical year and celebrates the heart of our faith. For this reason, it features some of the most beautiful and profound music we sing all year long. We would like to extend an invitation to you to be a part of the Triduum Choir this year.
Joining this group will provide you with a unique opportunity to enter deeply into the mysteries celebrated throughout Holy Week. During Lent, we are all called to give more of ourselves through acts of charity as well as in our prayer. St. Augustine tells us that when we sing we pray twice, so getting involved in the Triduum Choir is a perfect opportunity for you to immerse yourself in the Lenten experience. It is also worth mentioning that joining this group is an opportune way to see what music ministry at St. Thomas a’Becket is all about without making a commitment for the whole year.
The choir will be meeting on Thursday evenings during Lent, so join us Thursday, February 27th, from 7:30-9:00 PM. Please, if you are even somewhat curious about what this experience might mean for you, call Kevin Ryan at (734) 981-1333, ext. 26, or email him at kevin.ryan @abecket.org, or even better, come track him down after any weekend mass over by the piano! This might be just the thing that God is calling you take on for this Lent of 2020.
