Free Overdose Prevention and Naloxone Training Join us for a lifesaving training on overdose prevention and the safe use of naloxone (Narcan) to reverse opioid overdoses. This free event is open to all members of the parish community who want to be prepared to help someone experiencing an overdose. The training is scheduled for March 16, 2025 immediately following the 8am and 10am Mass All attendees will receive a free Narcan kit and information on local resources to support recovery. Learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose, respond effectively, and administer naloxone safely. The speaker will be Allison Herrst, LLMSW, CPRC, CPRM Executive Director, Recovery Action Network of Michigan. Allison Herrst is a Social Worker, Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CPRC), Certified Peer Recovery Mentor (CPRM), and person in long-term recovery. As the Executive Director of the Recovery Action Network of Michigan (RANMI), Allison works to support individuals and families affected by substance use and to build stronger, recovery-friendly communities.
