PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING BEFORE ATTENDING MASS:
If you have not already returned to in-person participation at Mass, Christmas is probably not the time todo so. Infection rates are at all-time highs. Remember, Archbishop Vigneron has dispensed us from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and holy days all the way to Ash Wednesday, 2021. We will continue to livestream and record Christmas Mass, so you can continue to participate at home;
If you usually participate in the 4 PM Mass on Christmas Eve, please consider attending one of the other Christmas Masses: 6 PM, 8 PM and 10 PM on Christmas Eve or 10 AM on Christmas Day;
If you still plan to come to the 4 PM Mass, please consider our first ever outdoor Christmas Mass on the lot just to the south of the church parking lot. We can accommodate hundreds there. Please bring your own chairs, blankets and dress warm. We will have hand warmers available and will feature a live Nativity scene including real animals! Music will consist entirely of guitar and Christmas carols. I promise you a shorter homily with some Christmas lighting in the trees. Many of you have told me how excited you are about participating in this celebration. So am I!
Above all - pray for decent weather on Christmas Eve (not too cold, windy and not rainy) and pray we can accommodate all who come here to worship in a safe way. Remember masks are always required for worship at Becket. All things are possible with God!
