All men of the Parish are invited to attend the annual St. Thomas a’Becket Retreat the weekend of Sept. 23rd - 25th. The retreat will be held at the Saint Paul of the Cross Passionist Retreat Center, located on 35 beautiful wooded acres in northwest Detroit.
Are you looking for peace in the current broken and divided world? This year’s theme is “Seek Peace: Becoming Peace.” The retreat is led by engaging and loving Passionist priests and staff. The weekend will make you feel at home, and to help you reconnect with the Lord and all that is important in your life. Besides private rooms and baths, the retreat center features a chapel, meeting areas, beautiful grounds, dining room, library, and gift shop.
The retreat begins Friday evening with a buffet dinner, followed by scripture readings and the Eucharist. Throughout the weekend, you can choose from inspiring talks, Mass, private reading and reflection time, or to stroll along the paths of the several wooded acres. It is your choice and your time to reflect and to forge a new peace in your life with the Lord at your side. Besides nourishment for the heart and soul, all buffet meals are also included. The retreat ends with Mass on Sunday morning. Cost should not be a factor and is left up to a suggested free will offering.
Come join your fellow parishioners and men from other area Catholic churches in a quiet weekend of solitude, prayer, reflection, scripture readings, great Christian men fellowship and so much more.
