November 20, 2021 - December 5, 2021A long standing Christmas tradition in our parish is the Advent Giving Tree, symbolizing God’s gift of love for all people. This year the Advent Tree will be similar to last year due to the pandemic. There will be a display of flat trees on the weekends of November 20rd & 21th thru December 4th & 5th. The display will have a sign with the organization’s name and the items they have requested, which are mostly generic items. You can take a picture of the display to help you with your shopping. The organization’s greatest needs are gifts cards for Meijer, Walmart, Target, Amazon or Kohl’s with suggested dominations of $25. This year there will be some tags with items for toys for children. If you select a tag for a toy; no wrapping is necessary, and please attach the tag to the toy. We hope this aids in your Black Friday shopping experience.
We as a parish will be helping 16 organizations and their clients to make their Christmas wonderful. The organizations are: AAA Pregnancy Center St. Vincent de Paul Nativity of Our Lord Parish PB&J Outreach Pope Francis Center Samaritas Family Center Sheffield Nursing Home St. Aloysius Neighborhood Serv. St. Anne Parish Detroit St. Christine Christian Services St. Dominic Outreach Center Veterans Plymouth/Canton Schools Clothing Bank Wayne County Jail Chaplaincy Dorothy Day House Mott Children’s Hospital
Please return all items by Sunday, December 12th . Gift cards can be given to the office or dropped in the offertory box. Monetary donations are also welcome and can also be given to the office or dropped in the offertory box. There will be gray carts in the gathering space for you to drop off other generic donation(s).
