NEW Core Topic Sessions

Core Topics are an enrichment of faith for the parents. Since parents are the first and foremost teachers of faith, we strive to enhance your learning opportunities by offering Core Topics. We hope these help you better educate your children. All parents of children in Faith Formation programs must attend three (3) CORE topic meetings. The requirements are met by family, not by child, so no matter how many children you have in our programs, you are still only required to attend three (3) Faith Formation events and activities.
Faith Opportunities that count for CORE topic requirements-
The Sacramental preparation meetings (First Communion, Reconciliation, Confirmation)

Bible studies or speakers presented by the church

Protecting God's Children workshops - This counts as 2 Core Topic meetings.

Other diocesan retreats and faith formation opportunities at other parishes can be approved in advance by Betsy.

Listen to one of the CDs in the Parish Library and email answers to the enclosed questions to anne.truax@abecket.org. See more information below.
ONLINE OPTIONS FOR CORE TOPICS
Watch any of the NEW Core Topic videos and email your answers from the prompted questions to anne.truax@abecket.org. When Anne receives your email responses, you will receive credit for that CORE topic class. -
