SAFE ENVIRONMENTS

St. Thomas a'Becket is committed to keeping children and other vulnerable populations (e.g., elderly, people with disabilities) safe by following the Archdiocese of Detroit guidelines. The Archdiocese of Detroit combines best practices with continuous improvement to increase awareness of safe programs and surroundings and to empower children, youth and adults to avoid and report unsafe or harmful situations. At St. Thomas a'Becket, every staff member, adult volunteer, and teen volunteer is required to attend training in the prevention, identification and reporting of abuse.
