VOCATIONS COMMITTEE
The Vocation Committee takes the lead in fostering vocations, reminding parish members of every age and experience to be involved in calling forth the next generation of Church leaders.
The principal activity of this committee is vocation awareness, seeking to spark vocation awareness in the existing programs, goals and activities of the parish. The committee works with existing committees and Commissions to plan special events and observances, include vocation awareness weekends.
DID YOU KNOW? Every Thursday morning, after mass, we pray for Priests? Please feel free to join us in the cry room to the left of the church entrance whenever you are able.
You can find more resources regarding vocations on our Vocations page.
THE FISHERMAN'S FUND
"Sacred Heart Major Seminary's Fishermen's Fund, established and supported by the laity, exists to ensure that no vocation to the Roman Catholic priesthood, diaconate or lay ministry is hindered due to financial need."
If you would like to help support the education and vocation of future priests, deacons and lay ministers through the Fishermen's Fund, please call (313) 883-8779 or email the Sacred Heart Foundation Office at fishermensfund@shms.edu.
