We have a number of thriving social groups at St. Thomas a'Becket. These groups create community, plan and organize activities and service projects, and welcome new members. All of our social groups also do community service work.
Active social groups at St. Thomas a'Becket include:
The Knights of Columbus are lay apostles for the promotion of the teachings of Jesus Christ and supporters of the Church. Its founding principles are charity, unity and fraternity. The Knights of Columbus is for Catholic men, aged 18 and older.
MOMs Group creates a place for mothers within the parish to gather in friendship and faith by providing opportunities for discussion, playgroups, social outings and support.
The Parish Picnic is an annual summer tradition in which St. Thomas a'Becket parishioners share food, fellowship and fun.
POKE-n-STAB Quilters meets to share their love of quilting and fellowship with the women in our group. They work on quilts for the ill in the parish as well as quilts for other charities.
Social Sundays are monthly gatherings after Mass where parishioners can sit down with coffee, juice and doughnuts.
The STA-50 Group is a social organization dedicated to provide a source of activity for the senior members of our parish. As the name implies, membership is for those over the age of 50. Most of their members are retirees.
Women Blessing Women organizes events and activities for women in the parish, including the annual Christmas Tea.
